Earth Hub is excited to announce the launch of our new initiative, the Vegetarian Collective! This t is a fortnightly series of workshops centred around resilient communities and sustainable eating. Each workshop will focus on a different element of food - be it growing, cooking, or preserving, and of course… eating! Our first workshop will be Friday the 15th at 5:30 sharp, and it will be run by Kung G Cano who will teach a healthy thai recipe! Bring your friends and families and a notebook to take down the recipe! Entry is $5pp (Cash) to cover ingredient costs.

Amber's work, Restorative Movement Psychotherapy (RMP) brings together the most up to date scientific insights in trauma treatment with creative movement processes and maybe the only training worldwide which does this. RMP is based on Polyvagal Theory and integrates movement, creative expression and mindfulness in the healing of trauma. RMP is a holistic approach that focuses on the creative process and embodiment as central to the restorative process.
Choice Home Funerals is hosting a movie night here at Earth Hub on Friday the 8th of November at 7pm. The film is called “A Family Undertaking” and it is a PBS documentary about the movement to take the end of life process out of corporate funeral parlors and put it back into the family's hands.

Light vegan refreshments will be served for a small donation.
The film is hosted by SAFE, the animal rights charity.

The Nelson Seed Library needs more seeds to be returned in the coming Summer & Autumn. The workshop for Guardian Seed Savers is a chance for seeds savers with experience and beginners to gather, share and learn through the active process of saving the seeds of food crops. The focus is on high value food crops pumpkin, beans, corn, leafy greens and tomatoes.
This is a call to action from the youth of Nelson. Join us for a night of kai and creativity at the Earth Hub as we share slam poems about the climate crisis and make posters to take to the Strike for Climate on the 27th of September. Bring a plate to share for dinner, and some koha for venue use!
